New Brunswick 2017 & 2018 Personal Marginal
Income Tax Rates
New Brunswick Income Tax Act s. 14, 16.1, 19
The Federal and New Brunswick tax brackets and personal amount
are increased
for 2018 by an indexation factor of 1.015. New Brunswick uses the
Federal indexation factor. The indexation
factors, tax brackets and tax rates have been
confirmed to Canada Revenue Agency
information.
New Brunswick dividend tax credit rate for non-eligible
dividends for 2017 and later years was revised as per Bill
60, March 2017 to be 3.245% of the taxable dividend. The 2018 marginal tax rates for non-eligible dividends
reflect the rates that are in effect automatically due to the change in the gross-up rate for
2018, as announced in the October
24, 2017 Federal Fall Economic Statement. New Brunswick
subsequently tabled Bill 23,
An Act to Amend the New Brunswick Income Tax Act, modifying the non-eligible dividend tax credit
rate for 2018, and again for 2019 and subsequent taxation years.
