Yukon 2022 and 2021 Personal Marginal Income Tax Rates

The Federal and Yukon tax brackets and personal tax credit amounts are increased for 2022 by an indexation factor of 1.024 (an increase of 2.4%), except for the Yukon amount of $500,000, which is equal to the corporate small business limit.

Yukon uses the Federal tax brackets for their first 3 tax brackets.

The indexation factors, tax brackets and tax rates have not yet been confirmed to Canada Revenue Agency information.

Marginal tax rate for dividends is a % of actual dividends received (not grossed-up taxable amount).
Marginal tax rate for capital gains is a % of total capital gains (not taxable capital gains).
Gross-up rate for eligible dividends is 38%, and for non-eligible dividends is 15%.

(1) See the federal tax rates page for information on the enhanced federal and Yukon personal amounts, which increases the marginal tax rates for taxable incomes in the second highest federal tax bracket.  The marginal tax rates in blue above have been adjusted to reflect these changes.

On June 20, 2020, Yukon tabled Bill No. 8, Budget Measures Implementation Act, 2020 to enable their BPA to mirror the changes in the federal BPA.  This Act also reduced the small business corporate income tax rate for 2021, which automatically reduced the non-eligible dividend tax credit rate in 2021.
