(1) Ontario still has retail sales tax (RST) on insurance and on private sales of used motor vehicles.  See the link to Ontario Retail Sales Tax for more information.

(2) The Nova Scotia 2024 Budget decreases the NS component to 9% effective April 1, 2025, reducing the combined rate to 14%
